About AID

The Association for persons with Intellectual Disabilities, or AID, formerly known as The Cape Girardeau County Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc., (ARC), is a local organization dedicated to the welfare of individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages. It was established in 1958 as a non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization, by a small group of interested people who wanted and needed programs for all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
